In Busan, icicles and frozen waves were reported one after another... Safety measures

Fire authorities have taken safety measures in Busan due to the occurrence of icicles and freezing water pipes due to cold waves.

Firefighters removed icicles on the outer wall of an apartment in Jung-dong, Busan, at around 10:30 a.m. today (10th), and three reports of freezing water pipes were received in Yeonsan-dong and Seodaeshin-dong.

In addition, nine reports related to cold waves were filed with fire authorities in Busan, including freezing roads and flooding of cellars as the pipes of a housing water tank in Gwangan-dong were frozen.

The lowest temperature in Busan was -14.1 degrees Celsius in Seo-gu, and most regions recorded around -10 degrees Celsius.
