Last month, President Yoon Suk Yeol reportedly met with a close aide to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump shortly after the impeachment motion was passed by the National Assembly.

The two seem to have discussed political issues in South Korea, which had been running in urgency, such as martial law and impeachment.

The person in question was Matthew Schlapp, co-chair of the American Conservative Union, and the two met at their official residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

It is known that the conversation was an urgent political issue in Korea at the time, such as martial law and impeachment.

Matthew Schlapp, who is known to be on a par with Trump, is the husband of Mercedis Schlapp, who served as director of the White House during Trump's first term, and leads the United States Conservative Union.
