In the aftermath of the emergency martial law crisis, people are not as likely to visit security tourist attractions as before.

Gimpo Aegibong Peak is attracting attention as the number of visitors has increased significantly.

The place where the South and the North face each other with the Han River in between.

It is the Aegibong Observatory in Gimpo, 1.4km away from North Korea.

Starbucks opened last year here, a symbol of inter-Korean confrontation, and it became a so-called "hot place."

The number of tourists increased eight times on weekdays and more than three times on weekends as it went viral as a unique place where you can enjoy coffee while looking at Gaepoong-gun and Songaksan Mountain in North Korea.

[Baek Hae-soon / Masan-dong, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do: I wanted to share this delicious coffee with the people in North Korea right in front of me and show them the taste together]

[Carolina/Brazilian tourists: It's very historic and special to be able to see everything freely]

Gimpo City is adding attractions by decorating the road to the observatory with colorful Christmas trees.

[Kim Byung-soo / Gimpo Mayor: Please visit Aegibong Peak, which changes every year, and we will make it a tourist center of security and a hot place that the world pays attention to, so please show a lot of love and use it.]

Aegibong Peak is a civilian access control zone, but anyone can visit without much difficulty as long as they show their ID at the checkpoint.

Gimpo City plans to build a complex cultural facility in Aegibong Peak that can hold international conferences and promote monorails.
