Cho Eun-seok, acting head of the Board of Audit and Inspection, a former administration, has been controversial as he ordered a review of the presidential office's relocation audit, which was suspected of being looked after.

It is also drawing attention to whether to pursue a reconsideration of other audits that have been opposed by opposition parties for targeting the former administration.

The opposition and the Board of Audit and Inspection clashed all along over the relocation of the presidential office.

The opposition party raised suspicions of poor audit, but the Board of Audit and Inspection countered that it followed the principle.

[Jang Kyung-tae / Rep. of the Democratic Party (October last year): The auditor may have properly audited the relocation of the official residence.]

[Choi Disaster / Director of Audit (October last year): The focus of our audit was whether the extension was done properly or not.]

In the end, the opposition party impeached the Board of Audit and Inspection last month, and Cho Eun-seok, the auditor, served as the acting chairman.

Acting President Cho Eun-seok recently instructed the government to review further audits of the relocation of the presidential office.

[Park Eun-jung / Representative of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party (last 7th): I heard that you requested a review of your authority regarding the audit of the relocation of the presidential office. Is it right?]

[Jo Eun-seok / Acting Director of Audit (last 7th): It's in progress according to normal procedures]

Earlier, the Board of Audit and Inspection said it was the strictest audit ever conducted by the presidential office and demanded strict censure of those suspected of misconduct.

[Choi Dal-young / Secretary-General of the Board of Audit and Inspection (last month, 2nd): If you accuse a political audit for political advantage, it is difficult to accept.]

Some employees reportedly protested the order to review the reconsideration.

Acting President Cho Eun-seok will retire on the 17th due to the expiration of his term, followed by Kim In-hoe, an auditor from the previous administration.

For this reason, attention is being paid to whether to pursue a re-deliberation on the audit of alleged manipulation of national statistics, which the opposition party claims to be a targeted audit.
