Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon criticized the Democratic Party of Korea's announcement that it would file a complaint if it spread fake news related to incitement of a rebellion through Kakao Talk, saying, "It reflects the impatience and arrogance of representative Lee Jae-myung."

Mayor Oh said in an interview with Channel A's "Kim Jin's Straightforward Show," "It violates freedom of thought and violates freedom of press publication and assembly association."

"I think the Democratic Party wants to complete the impeachment of Yoon Suk Yeol's president and hold a presidential election quickly before the trial of Lee Jae-myung's election law violation is over," he said.

"I saw a lawmaker of the Democratic Party say that President Yoon fled, and it is fake news that is different from the facts," he said. "The public must also feel that it is nonsense to punish those who talk about other things."
