Last month, the three major stock indexes of the New York Stock Exchange closed higher as the core U.S. consumer price index fell below expert expectations.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones 30 Industrial Average closed at 43,221.55, up 703.27 points and 1.65% from the previous session.The

Standard & Poor's 500 Index jumped 107 points and 1.83% from the previous session to 5,949.91, and the Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 466.84 points and 2.45% to 19,511.23.

Excluding volatile food and energy, the core consumer price index rose 3.2% last month from a year ago and 0.2% month-on-month, falling 0.1% below expectations, raising expectations for a rate cut.

Big U.S. banks also led the gains, with JPMorgan Chase, the largest U.S. bank, posting better-than-expected earnings in the fourth quarter of last year, up 50% from a year ago.
