"I'll buy you cigarettes" and ask minors to have sex...a suspended sentence in one's 20s

The Cheongju District Court sentenced A, in his 20s, to one year in prison and two years of probation for demanding sexual intercourse from a minor.

The court said that the nature of the crime is not good because of the molestation of minors, but that it has considered the fact that it has agreed with the victim and has no criminal record of punishment.

Mr. A is accused of demanding sexual intercourse with a teenage minor at a movie theater in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, in 2022, saying he would buy cigarettes for him.
