Gyeonggi-do Province announced that it will recruit 109 "river and valley guards" who will engage in illegal surveillance in rivers and valleys.

The river and valley guards, which have been in operation since 2020, patrols rivers in the region and assists river managers in their work, such as monitoring activities to eradicate illegal activities.

The recruitment will be carried out by hiring 108 people from 22 cities and counties, including Anyang, and one person in charge of them will be hired by Gyeonggi Province.

Anyone aged 20 to 64 with an address in the area can apply.

Career disconnected women, young unemployed people, and the second-highest class registered at the Gyeonggi-do Employment Center will be given additional points in the interview screening.

The type of work is fixed-term workers, who will work from March to October.

The remuneration will be 12,152 won per hour, which is the living wage of Gyeonggi-do Province this year.

Citizens who want to participate can apply to each city, county and Gyeonggi-do by the 24th.
