Gunsan Coast Guard Seizes One Chinese Fishing Fishing Fishing in Violation of Law

The Gunsan Coast Guard in North Jeolla Province said it has seized a 143-ton Chinese fishing boat on charges of operating without reporting even after changing the engine output.

The ship is accused of changing from 598 horsepower to 520 horsepower at around 4:53 p.m. yesterday, but not reporting it and not including it in the ship's documents.

According to the law, fishing boats with fishing permits are required to report changes when changing tonnage or engine output.

The Coast Guard imposed 40 million won in collateral on the ship, and after paying the collateral, the crew was released at around 10:30 p.m.
