The Defense Ministry said it has dismissed four positions: Yeo In-hyeong, commander of the National Defense Command, Lee Jin-woo, commander of the Capital Defense Command, Kwak Jong-geun, commander of the Special Warfare Command, and Moon Sang-ho, who have been arrested and charged with involvement in martial law.

The Ministry of National Defense said it held a deliberation committee meeting and decided to issue the decision as of tomorrow (21st) after notifying the parties of the decision.

The four people, who have been dismissed from their posts, will also be placed on leave following the indictment, he added.

If you are given a leave of absence from prosecution, you will receive only 50% of your normal wage and will not be able to receive other positions until your sentence is confirmed.

However, the former martial law commander, Army Chief of Staff Park An-soo, has to form a deliberation committee with more than three senior members than those subject to the dismissal, but Kim Myung-soo, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was the only one who was appointed.

However, the prosecution leave for President Park is expected to be decided early next month along with the four dismissed commanders.
