The collapse of Hwajeong I-Park in Gwangju, where six workers were killed and one was injured when an apartment under construction collapsed.
Excluding Sangha-dong, the dismantling of eight buildings has been completed, and the re-construction began on the 2nd.
The first trial was held three years after the collapse as HDC Hyundai Industrial Development Co., the original contractor of the apartment collapse in Hwajeong-dong, Gwangju, and a subcontractor argued for responsibility over the cause of the accident.
The Gwangju District Court sentenced 11 people in charge, including Hyundai Industrial Development Co., subcontractors, and supervision companies, to prison for professional negligence and other charges.
Among them, two on-site directors of Hyundai Industrial Development and subcontractors were sentenced to four years in prison.

Three key people involved in the removal of the temporary support were sentenced to two to three years in prison, and six people, including officials from the supervision company, were given suspended prison sentences.
At the same time, fines of 500 million won were decided for Hyundai Industrial Development and 300 million won and 100 million won for subcontractors and supervision companies, respectively.
The court judged that the collapse occurred as the construction method was changed without a stability review and the temporary support was removed early.
However, he explained that he agreed with the victim and submitted a non-application for punishment, and that management cannot be held accountable for the incident that occurred before the enforcement of the Serious Disaster Punishment Act.
In the end, six people, including the original contractor and three subcontracted executives, were acquitted.
