Gyeongsangbuk-do said yesterday (21st) that a suspected livestock report was received from a farm raising 7,000 ducklings, and an examination confirmed avian influenza.
The quarantine authorities explained that they are checking for high pathogenicity through additional detailed examinations.
He also added that the initial quarantine team was deployed to control people and vehicles entering the farm and conduct emergency burial measures.
Authorities urged related farms to strictly observe disinfection and blocking quarantine rules as people and vehicles move more ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
