In the National Assembly, the first hearing of the Yoon Suk Yeol government's alleged "insurrection" is underway.
President Yoon, who was adopted as a witness, did not attend, but he clashed with the ruling party from the beginning, issuing an accompanying order led by the opposition party.

Hearings on charges of rebellion, how is it going now?
[Reporter]
Questions are focused on the members of the State Council who attended as witnesses and Kim Sung-hoon, deputy chief of the security service, who is accused of obstructing the arrest of President Yoon.
Opposition lawmakers seem to be focusing on cross-verifying what President Yoon claimed in yesterday's impeachment trial.
President Yoon's claim that he never handed over a note on the emergency legislative body to Acting President Choi Sang-mok is false,
Most Prime Minister Han Deok-soo and ministers who attended
answered that they did not remember or did not see them in person.
There are witnesses who refuse to testify, including former Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min.
On the other hand, the ruling party is protesting that the hearing is not a place to judge, and that the opposition party's raising of suspicions is reckless and excessive.
The head of the security service who refused to execute the arrest warrant for President Yoon was justified, and he defended Deputy Chief Kim Sung-hoon.
A total of 76 people were selected as witnesses in today's first hearing, but President Yoon and former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun did not appear.
Along with acting chief Choi Sang-mok, most of the arrested military generals, including former counterintelligence commander Yeo In-hyeong, also submitted a letter of reason for their absence.
The ruling party initially protested that it had never agreed to choose a witness, but the opposition party issued an accompanying order, saying that President Yoon attended the impeachment trial of the Constitutional Court and ignored the National Assembly's request for attendance.
National Assembly staff left for the Seoul Detention Center to execute the accompanying order, but it is unclear whether President Yoon will comply with the execution.

How does the ruling party evaluate the impeachment hearing of President Yoon yesterday?
[Reporter]
Officially, the president seems to be distancing himself, saying it is only a legal dispute.
A key ruling party official told YTN that the president is fighting in his own way and that it is not something the party should evaluate. However, he also said that the president "has become the main character" due to his attendance at the Constitutional Court yesterday.
It is expected that there will be a public opinion war effect, but floor leaders, including floor leader Kwon Sung-dong, visited the Constitutional Court today.
He did not meet with the justices, who said he was not defending the president, but asking for a fair impeachment trial, arguing that procedural matters were enough for the party to talk about.
However, there are many voices within the ruling party that President Yoon's argument yesterday was inappropriate.
A senior lawmaker said, "What good will it be for us for the president to keep appearing on television?" and expressed concern that it would adversely affect the public opinion of the middle class.A leadership official who
also said it would have been better if the president had apologized to the public because martial law had done a great deal of damage to the people and national interests.

Please tell us about the Democratic Party's response.

Spokesman Hwang Jung-ah told reporters at the National Assembly that most of the claims President Yoon made at the Constitutional Court were lies.
The prosecution's investigation has already confirmed that it ordered lawmakers to be pulled out at the time of martial law or that acting Choi Sang-mok received a note on the establishment of an emergency legislative body.
He said that his attendance at the Constitutional Court was aimed at instigating the supporters, but internally, he is wary of the conservative camp gathering.
A key Democratic Party official said that President Yoon's appearance on TV itself is a factor in rallying supporters, and the recent trend of opinion polls is similar.
CEO Lee Jae-myung continues to focus on people's livelihood and economic activities.
At the morning meeting, he repeatedly insisted on expanding the local currency budget, citing the Bank of Korea report that real GDP equivalent to 500,000 won per household had evaporated due to the martial law shock.
