Yongin City to build a 590m crosswalk bridge in Giheung Reservoir...Completed in 2027

Yongin City announced that it will build a 590-meter-long crosswalk bridge across Giheung Reservoir with the aim of completing it by 2027.

The crosswalk bridge, which costs 19 billion won for the project, will be constructed 2 meters wide, and a monument to the creation of Hangul will be installed in the form of a combination of a suspension bridge and an S-shaped connection bridge.The city of

selected a work on the theme of 'Ido (Sejong), Mulgil Bridge' as the winning work in a design contest held since September last year.

The city explained that the winning work installed a monument to the creation of Hangul based on the record of Singalcheon in the Annals of Sejong, and added nightscape lighting and civic rest areas.
