A policy debate was held today (22nd) in the conference room of the Gyeonggi-do Provincial Council to discuss school education based on school complex facilities and the future vision of the local community in the culture and sports sector.Under the theme of

The Golden Plan for Gyeonggi: Why and How to Do it', the debate was co-hosted by schools, regional wall-breaking sports headquarters, and the Korea Youth Association, and was co-hosted by National Assembly members Moon Jung-bok, Lim Oh-kyung, Kim Joon-hyuk and Yang Moon-seok, and Gyeonggi-do council members Ahn Kwang-ryul and Hwang Dae-ho.

The Golden Plan is a 10-year national policy that has been promoted to meet sports facilities, leaders, and educational programs five minutes away from Germany in the 1960s, and the Gyeonggi Golden Plan is designed to examine the present of education, culture and sports policies and seek future-oriented measures with the aim of sustainable development in the Gyeonggi area.

The debate was hosted by National Assemblyman Kim Joon-hyuk, and Ahn Min-seok, a chair professor at Myongji University, Ahn Kwang-ryul, a provincial councilor, and Lee Jae-rim, an honorary professor at Kyowon University, were on the panel to discuss school complex facilities.

Lawmaker Kim Joon-hyuk said, "Starting with this debate, we look forward to realizing the vision of education, culture and sports policies in the Gyeonggi area through school complex facilities."

Ahn Kwang-ryul, a provincial councilor, said, "There are cases in which school facilities can be combined to install survival swimming education spaces for students and sports facilities for the elderly at once, and we hope that this case will be expanded to the entire Gyeonggi-do Province through the Gyeonggi Golden Plan."

School complex facilities refer to educational, cultural, sports, and welfare facilities such as gyms, swimming pools, and libraries installed for students and local residents to use together in areas where educational and cultural facilities are insufficient.
