Police have launched an investigation after a white bone body was found in a burned truck in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do.

Police searched the truck in July, but failed to find the body, sparking controversy over its poor response.

According to the police yesterday (9th), they were dispatched to the scene on July 20 after receiving a report that a truck had been left under the bank for one to two months.

A 1-ton truck fell sideways in a paddy field, and police who searched the truck determined that the vehicle was left unattended.

As a result of the vehicle inspection, it was found to be owned by a man in his 60s living in Gimje, but he could not be reached. His family was also found to have lost contact with him a long time ago.

Afterwards, the police inquired to Iksan City Hall, which manages the neglected vehicle, and after receiving a notice from the city hall that it would tow it soon, the report was closed.
