"We hope that the end of the war will take place by 2025," Zelensky told a joint news conference after visiting Berlin and holding a summit with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, according to AFP news agency.
"It is important that support for Ukraine does not decrease next year," he continued.
In response, Scholz stressed that he would not "reduce support for Ukraine."
The Ukraine Defense Liaison Group Summit, which was scheduled to be held in Germany on the 12th with the leaders of about 20 Western countries attending, was postponed as U.S. President Biden was absent due to hurricane preparations.
It is not yet decided when the summit will be held again.
