When the African swine fever broke out in Hwacheon, the province conducted a detailed examination of six epidemiological farms in northern Gyeonggi Province, including Pocheon and Gapyeong, and clinical predictions of 109 epidemiological farms at slaughterhouses.
The province plans to continue its pig farm forecasting activities in northern Gyeonggi Province and conduct ASF environmental inspections on 20 pig farms near the border between Paju and Yeoncheon by the end of next month.
ASF has been occurring in pigs raised since 2019, with a total of 47 cases occurring in 18 cities and counties in Gyeonggi, Incheon, and North Gyeongsang Province.There were 4,166 wild boars in 43 cities and counties across the country,
