The Incheon Metropolitan Government has decided to shorten the interval between trains during rush hour on Incheon Subway Line 2 by 30 seconds from the previous three minutes to 2 minutes and 30 seconds from the 18th.

This measure is taken by adding an additional spare vehicle, thereby improving the environment for citizens who use the subway to work.

The congestion level of the Incheon subway was 147.2% recorded in the direction of Seongnam Station from Gajeong Station during rush hour in April, and it was managed below the normal level of 150%, which is the standard of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, but it is pointed out that the inconvenience felt by actual citizens needs to be improved.

The move is part of efforts to solve the overall traffic congestion problem on Incheon Line 2, and the city plans to come up with additional improvement measures in the future.
