At the inauguration ceremony of the 19th President of the Korea Senior Citizens' Association held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry today (21st), Chairman Lee made the proposal, saying, "The number of senior citizens by 2050 is 20 million, and there is a concern that the working population will be eliminated."
In addition, he said that if the standard for the elderly is raised step by step from the current 65 to 75 years old to properly manage the number of elderly people and introduce a retirement age extension system, 40% of the peak wage for the retirement age in the first year and 20% for the 75-year-old 10 years later should be extended to extend the remaining period of production.
In addition, Chairman Lee said he will push for a "home death system" so that the elderly can finish their lives in their homes, adding that if foreign nursing assistants can get a job in Korea, families will be able to work in their main jobs and elderly people will have the opportunity to organize their lives comfortably.
Chairman Lee said he will work to establish a population department for birth support and welfare of the elderly, and let's work together to help the Korean Senior Citizens' Association develop into a respected senior organization that contributes to the development of the country and society.
