The first trial was held against CEO Park Soon-kwan and other executives in connection with the fire at the Arisel plant in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, where 23 people were killed.

However, due to the delay in accessing the case records, the trial ended in 16 minutes, and the bereaved families vented their anger, saying, "What have you been doing?"

In June, the first trial of the fire management at the Arisel plant in Hwaseong, which killed 23 workers, was held.

No one, including CEO Park Soon-kwan of Arisel, appeared in court because there was no obligation to attend the trial.

Instead, CEO Park's lawyer, who attended instead, suspended his statement of opinion on the charges, saying, "I haven't seen the record yet because it is possible to record evidence from the 30th due to the circumstances of the prosecution's reading room."

In the end, the first trial ended in 16 minutes.

Prosecutors said they would cooperate to expedite the inspection and copying of investigative records, but
The
bereaved families were furious that the company officials had not begun copying the evidence records nearly a month after they were indicted on the 24th of last month.

[Ha Tae-seung / Attorneys for Arisel Fire Survivors: The maximum period for trial while in custody in the first trial is 6 months. In six months, nearly two months flew only to analyze the records, without giving any position.]

In the meantime, the Ministry of Employment and Labor announced safety guidelines for fire and explosion accidents in the battery manufacturing industry.

It includes maintaining low humidity, prohibiting access to firearms, and installing at least one emergency exit.

The measure came four months after the massive disaster on June 24, which killed 23 people and injured eight.

The court decided to hold another trial preparation date on the 25th of next month, a month later.

The arrest deadline for Arisel CEO Park Soon-kwan and General Manager Park Joong-eon is March next year.

Attention is focusing on whether the first trial judgment will come out before that.
