Last year, the 4th generation education administration information system, Nice system, and errors caused severe confusion at the school site.

There is a similar administrative information system in kindergarten.

Like schools, various errors have occurred one after another, making it difficult to manage information such as the number of days of attendance for kindergarteners.

Reporter Baek Jong-gyu's report.

Kim Bo-yeon, a 23-year public kindergarten teacher, was hit by a work bomb at the end of last year and early this year.

This is due to the "Kindergarten Nice" error, an early childhood education administrative information system introduced in September last year.

I have to close my student record book at the end of February, but the problem continued in the new system.

Not only are attendance records not reflected in the system, but errors have also appeared in simple tasks such as registering student photos.

[Kim Bo-yeon / Public kindergarten teacher: It didn't close and I had to see where the error came from like a notification window, but because it didn't work, the teachers had no choice but to call the call center.]

More than a year after its introduction, the system is still unstable.

There is a function that automatically reflects the results of children's health checkups, but there are many missing, so you have to receive the results from parents and enter them yourself.

I'm already feeling heavy about the closing of the student record book that will come soon, whether the same thing will happen.

[Kim Bo-yeon / Public kindergarten teacher: It's hard for teachers to jokingly say "not intelligent nice" but "low-skilled nice.".]

Kindergarten Nice had 472 errors before opening, and improvements were made, but more than 1,200 errors occurred after opening.

For this reason, the call center receiving the inconvenience received a flood of inquiries from kindergarten teachers across the country.

As many as 257,000 inconveniences were received at the call center, which was particularly concentrated at the beginning of the new semester.

The confusion is great, but the response is still insufficient.

[Rep. Baek Seung-ah / Minjoo Party of Korea] Because of the complacent and hasty desk administration of the Ministry of Education and KERIS (Korea Education and Research Information Service). I think this happened because we handled it in a shoddy manner without verifying the suitability of the site.

Next year, AI digital textbooks will be introduced for the first time, and concerns are pouring in about the Ministry of Education, which has failed to respond properly to errors in the administrative system of schools and kindergartens.
