According to a five-day ABC News poll of 2,400 voters from the 18th, Harris' approval rating was 51 percent and Trump's 47 percent.
The same survey conducted three weeks ago showed Harris and Trump's approval ratings of 50 to 48%, respectively, and the gap in approval ratings widened from 2% to 4%p.
ABC News analyzed that compared to earlier this month, Harris had an approval gap from 22% to 30% among Hispanic voters, traditional Democratic supporters, and gained an overwhelming lead with 90% support from Black supporters.
On the other hand, former President Trump was far ahead of white male supporters by 57 to 38 percent, and was found to be dominant among voters under high school graduates and those in their 50s and 60s.
By issue, former President Trump outperformed Harris on immigration, economy, inflation, and Middle East conflicts, while Vice President Harris showed strength in abortion, health care, and protection of democracy.
