Anyang City announced that the "Children's Thinking Virgin Hospital" opened on the 11th at 876 Gyeongsu-daero, Dongan-gu.
The hospital, a secondary pediatric and adolescent hospital, has 58 beds with 51 operating personnel, including five pediatric and adolescent specialists and 17 nurses.
Until now, there were no pediatric and adolescent hospitals in Anyang treatment areas (Anyang, Gunpo, Uiwang, and Gwacheon) designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, so pediatric patients had to go to Suwon or Gwangmyeong to find beds.
Earlier last month, when an individual applied for permission to open a pediatric and adolescent hospital, the Dongan-gu Health Center approved the opening on the 4th of this month after reviewing documents, on-site inspections, deliberation by the medical institution opening committee, and inquiries from the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The hospital is currently treating pediatric-related diseases such as pediatric respirators, pediatric allergies, pediatric respirators, pediatric ophthalmology, and pediatric otolaryngology.
The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
Mayor Choi Dae-ho said, "We will do our best to create Anyang, a healthy city where both children and parents can receive medical services with confidence."
