The Seoul Northern District Court fined Ahn Gwi-ryeong, a spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea, 700,000 won for campaigning using loudspeakers even though it was not during the campaign period during the 22nd general election.

The court pointed out that Ahn campaigned in a fraudulent way three times, and that guilt is not light in light of the purpose of the Public Official Election Act.

However, he added that Ahn is reflecting on the crime and that it is difficult to say that the crime has had a significant impact on the election results.

Earlier, Ahn is accused of wearing a campaign uniform and using a microphone to appeal for support in Chang-dong, Seoul, on March 6, before the official campaign.
