U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, who has completed major cabinet appointments, has opened a "tariff bomb."The global economy is expected to be in turmoil in the face of U.S. priorityism, which does not require an

alliance.

President-elect Trump has announced the introduction of tariffs on the top three U.S. importers in the name of responding to drugs and illegal immigration.

Posting on social media, they decided to impose 10% more tariffs on China in addition to the additional tariffs, and 25% each on Mexico and Canada.

He said he would sign an executive order on the day of his inauguration on January 20th next year.

As of 2022, China is the top U.S. importer, followed by Mexico and Canada.

In the first nine months of this year, these three countries account for 42% of total U.S. imports.

Mexico and Canada have trade agreements with the United States, but the move has effectively neutralized them.

The alliance has reaffirmed its hardline stance that there are no exceptions in the face of U.S. priorities of protecting workers and reviving manufacturing.

The bigger problem is that tariffs are available from time to time in areas outside the economy beyond the trade deficit.

There is a high possibility that the tariff card will be taken out to increase the defense cost of allies or open overseas markets.

Korea, which has the largest trade surplus with the U.S. ever, is also in a position to believe in the Korea-U.S. FTA.

It could lead to a demand for an additional increase in defense costs.

Some analyze that this tough attitude before taking office may be a strategy rather than actually being implemented.

It is observed that it has been opened to use it as a bargaining chip for various agendas.
