[Fact Tracking] As a result of the report, a wedding hall in Gangnam, Seoul, was forcing prospective couples to use a photography company run by the CEO's family as an essential company.
Other wedding agencies were inducing contracts with so-called "sudme" companies, such as studios, dresses, and makeup, as well as wedding halls linked to them.
It has also been confirmed that prospective couples do not return the down payment even if they cancel their contracts months before the wedding.
Experts stressed that fundamental measures should be taken to eradicate the harm caused by the collusion between wedding companies, including opaque price information and unfair terms and conditions.
The YTN investigative report program [Fact Tracking], which airs tonight (27th), delves into the reality of the "wedding cartel" that makes prospective couples cry and focuses on solutions.
