Yoon Suk Yeol's president met with a special envoy sent by Ukrainian President Zelensky to discuss security threats and how to deal with Russia's military cooperation with North Korea.President Yun

met with a delegation of special envoys led by Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov today and said he hoped South Korea and Ukraine would come up with effective countermeasures against the Russian-North Korean threat.

Umerov said he visited South Korea following Zelensky's instructions to meet with National Security Office chief Shin Won-shik and Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun one after another to seek cooperation to cope with the advancement of Russia-North Korea military cooperation.

The president's office then thanked the Korean government for its various support, saying it is practically helping the Ukrainian people, and said it hopes to strengthen cooperation with Korea in the future.

The two sides agreed to cooperate with allies, while continuing to share information on North Korea's dispatch to Russia and the transfer of weapons and technology between Russia and North Korea.

In addition, as the Biden administration and Trump's side respond to the Ukraine crisis as one team, they decided to work closely with the United States.
