The prosecution has arrested and charged Myung Tae-kyun and former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, but there is still a long way to go.

Suspicions of intervention in nominations, which are also causing major repercussions in politics, are omitted from the indictment, so the full-fledged investigation can be seen from now on.

Reporter Park Jong-hyuk reports.

In the first indictment, the suspicion of Yoon Suk Yeol's involvement in the nomination of the president and his wife, which is at the heart of the case, has been eliminated.

[Yoon Suk Yeol / Then-President-elect (May 9, 2022): The mission committee brought it to me, so I asked Kim Young-sun to do it because she's been running hard since the election, but she's talking a lot. At the party....]

To reveal this, the prosecution raided the People's Power Party and secured data for nominations for the 2022 parliamentary by-elections and by-elections,
An external member of the nomination committee was investigated at the time of
.

A reference investigation is expected into Yoon Sang-hyun, Han Ki-ho, and Lee Joon-seok, the leader of the People's Power Party at the time.

The prosecution judged that Myung received money and valuables from local election candidates and others, showing off his friendship with President Yoon and his wife.

As such, it is necessary to check on President Yoon and his wife, but the prosecution's concerns are growing.

Next is 'suspected manipulation of public opinion surveys'.

Kang Hye-kyung previously claimed that she polled 81 times during the last presidential election for then-presidential candidate Yoon Suk Yeol.

It cost 370 million won, and he won the nomination of former lawmaker Kim in return without receiving money.

The prosecution suspects that Myung was involved in sample manipulation in non-public opinion polls.

We are interested in whether we can apply charges of violating the Public Official Election Act or obstructing business by hierarchies.

In addition, another investigation is the suspicion that Myung intervened in the process of Changwon City in South Gyeongsang Province being selected as a new national industrial complex in March last year and encouraged acquaintances to speculate on real estate in advance.
