The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced administrative measures to Hyundai Marine Leisure, which pushed ahead with the "Han River Fireworks Show" despite a request to cancel the event to commemorate the Jeju Air plane disaster.

At around 2:40 p.m. the previous day, Hyundai Marine Leisure received a request from the city to cancel the event scheduled for the evening. The city reportedly made the request to consider the atmosphere of remembrance related to the plane accident.
However, the company operated a fireworks cruise at around 6:30 p.m. the previous night, saying it was difficult to cancel because it had already been booked.The city of

Hyundai Marine Leisure posted an apology the previous evening, saying, "We sincerely apologize and apologize for causing a stir by conducting such an event at a time when everyone is mourning amid a major disaster."
