Chun Jae-hyun, deputy chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Court, said at a press briefing yesterday (30th), "Anyone who has been voted for impeachment under the Constitution will be suspended from exercising their authority until the impeachment trial."
He also explained that it is difficult to immediately deny the validity of the National Assembly's impeachment decision unless the Constitutional Court decides otherwise.
However, he declined to say how many quorum are needed to pass the impeachment bill by the acting president, saying it is a matter for the court to decide in the future.
