Jeong Gye-seon, the new Constitutional Judge, said the Constitutional Court's mission to protect the constitutional order of the Republic of Korea and guarantee the basic rights of the people is heavier than ever.

Justice Chung said at the inauguration ceremony held at the Constitutional Court yesterday (2nd) morning, "We are facing a difficult task that must be quickly resolved only by the Constitution and laws."

He then emphasized that he will be a pillar of democracy and the rule of law, a strong member of the Constitutional Court who is trusted by the people, and a reliable colleague who constantly communicates, helps, and moves together.

Justice Chung said he would follow with all his might so that he could deal with the sad crisis and accompany him on a great journey to find hope, adding that he hopes the vacancy of one seat will be filled quickly.

Justice Chung, who began his term yesterday, will serve for six years until December 31, 2030.
