Civic groups continue rally to call for 'President's arrest' for three days and two nights

A civic group rally calling for the arrest of President Yoon Suk Yeol has been held for two nights and three days near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

{President Yoon's immediate resignation, emergency action for social reform' held a press conference near the presidential residence at around 10 a.m. today and called for the re-enforcement of arrest warrants for high-ranking government officials.

At the meeting, Yang Kyung-soo, chairman of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, said that punishing a president who denies the Constitution is to lay the foundation of our society, and insisted that we arrest and detain him as soon as possible.

Participants also told the presidential security office that it should be kept in mind that it is a constitutional duty to serve the people, not President Yoon in his official residence, and that acting president Choi Sang-mok should sanction the security office.

Emergency action has continued overnight sit-ins near the official residence since the 3rd when the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon failed.
