Prosecutors investigating former Democratic Party Secretary-General Lee Jung-geun's alleged preferential employment in Korean complex logistics have investigated former presidential chief of staff Roh Young-min.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office reportedly summoned and investigated former chief Roh, who is suspected of obstruction of business, behind closed doors last month.

Prosecutors are investigating allegations that former Land Minister Kim Hyun-mi and former head of the department Roh exerted influence on Korea's complex logistics to provide former vice-president Lee's job.

After failing to win the 21st general election in 2020, Lee was hired as a full-time adviser to CJ Korea Express, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and received a salary of 100 million won for a year.

Prosecutors previously reportedly called former Minister Kim as a suspect accused of obstruction of business and conducted a private investigation.
