Civil groups "Please confirm the unconstitutionality of emergency martial law" constitutional petition

A civic group that has insisted on the dismissal of Yoon Suk Yeol's president has asked the Constitutional Court to confirm that the declaration of emergency martial law and the declaration of martial law command are unconstitutional.

Yoon Suk Yeol's immediate resignation and social reform civic action held a press conference in front of the Constitutional Court today (7th) and announced that they submitted a constitutional petition with President Yoon and former martial law commander Park An-soo as respondents.

They pointed out that the emergency decree violated basic rights such as freedom of the body and freedom of expression, freedom of speech and the right to a fair trial, and did not comply with the declaration process, such as deliberation by the Cabinet or notification of the National Assembly.

At the same time, he stressed that the Constitutional Court should decide that it is unconstitutional, saying that lawmakers, aides, journalists, medical personnel, and ordinary citizens have suffered damage.
