Oh Tae-yang, former co-chairman of the Future Party, who was put on trial for sexually harassing a drunk woman, was sentenced to a suspended sentence of imprisonment, which was commuted from the first trial at the appeal trial.

The Seoul High Court sentenced Oh to one and a half years in prison and two years of probation and ordered him to take 40 hours of lectures on sexual violence treatment.

Earlier, the first trial court sentenced representative Oh to two years in prison, but the second trial decided a new sentence by making a different judgment on guilt or innocence from the original trial.

The court found the former representative Oh's DNA detected in the victim's underwear not guilty of some sexual harassment charges, saying it could be due to contamination of emotions, but found him guilty of harassment in the process of moving.

Earlier, Oh was put on trial at around 11 p.m. in May 2022 on charges of sexually harassing and stealing a wallet by taking a woman who collapsed on the street drunk to a nearby accommodation.
