Vice Minister of Health and Welfare Hopes for Early Dialogue in Electing Chairman of New Medical Association

Regarding the election of the new chairman of the Korean Medical Association, Park Min-soo, the second vice minister of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, said he hopes to talk head-to-head to resolve the legislative conflict as soon as possible.

Vice Minister Park said at a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Medical Collective Action that the public wants the medical system to normalize as soon as possible, and the medical community and the government will have the same desire for normalization.

He then emphasized that he hopes to meet as soon as possible and have a candid conversation rather than putting forward conditions.

The Korea Medical Association, the only legal organization in the medical community, elected Kim Taek-woo as its new chairman yesterday.
