A husband in his 80s who killed his spouse in his 70s after caring for him for four years has been sentenced to prison.

On the 12th of last month, the Supreme Court confirmed the original trial, which sentenced 83-year-old A to three years in prison for murder.

Mr. A has been on trial for strangling his wife in her 70s in his residence in 2023.

Mr. A had been taking care of his wife, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2020, and decided to commit the crime when he did not receive help from his children even though his wife's condition worsened.

After that, the first trial sentenced him to three years in prison, considering that A, who is old and weak, appears to have reached his limit and decided to commit suicide after killing the victim.

Afterwards, A appealed, but both the second trial and the Supreme Court made the same decision.
