Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho, who was arrested and charged with the emergency martial law incident, applied for a suspension of execution of his arrest on the grounds of worsening blood cancer, but it was not accepted.

The special investigation headquarters of the prosecution's emergency martial law did not permit the suspension of the arrest submitted by Commissioner Cho on the 7th.

Director Cho, who suffers from blood cancer, asked last month to "suspension of arrest so that he can receive hospital treatment."

Commissioner Cho blocked the outskirts of the National Assembly by mobilizing a police task force under the direction of President Yoon Suk Yeol at the time of the emergency martial law. He is accused of engaging in the formation of a major political arrest group and attempting to take out the Central Election Commission server.

The Seoul Central District Court will hold the first trial preparation date for Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho and former Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner Kim Bong-sik at 10 a.m. on the 6th of next month.
