Police have arrested a man in his 20s who posted a notice of caregiver, lured a woman, kidnapped her, and imprisoned her in a pension for two days.
Gapyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Province said on the 13th that it is arresting and investigating a man in his 20s on charges of kidnapping and imprisonment on the 12th.
A is accused of taking a woman in her 30s in her vehicle in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, at around 7 p.m. on the 9th, moving to a pension in Daesung-ri, Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, and imprisoning her for about two days.
Two days later, an acquaintance of A suspected the crime and reported it to 112, and the police tracked down the vehicle and pension after checking A's escape route.
A, who noticed his acquaintance's report, tried to run away with B in a vehicle, but was arrested as a red offender by the police in Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun at around 5:10 a.m. on the 11th.
Mr. B was rescued from the passenger seat of the vehicle, and he was reportedly not injured. It was also found that there was a weapon in the car.
A lured B through a used trading app, saying, "I'm looking for a caregiver for my younger sister who is paralyzed from the waist down." However, it was confirmed that A, who lives in Seoul without a special job, does not have a paraplegic sister.
The police are investigating the specific motive and circumstances of the crime after obtaining an arrest warrant from the court for A.
