Dongdaemun-gu warehouse fire extinguished in 16 hours...About 30 people evacuated.

A fire broke out at around 0:25 a.m. today (13th) in a six-story warehouse building in Yongdu-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, and was extinguished at around 5 p.m., about 16 hours later.

No one was injured in the fire, but more than 30 nearby residents fled to a temporary shelter following the fire authorities' judgment that the building was all burned and there was a risk of collapse.

In addition, as a lot of smoke occurred, disaster safety texts were sent to residents in the area to refrain from going out.

Fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
