Civic groups "Applying exceptions for 52 hours a week, opposition to passing the Special Act on Semiconductors"

A civic group has opposed the Special Act on Semiconductors, which includes exceptions to the 52-hour workweek for semiconductor workers.

The civic group "Roundup," which is aimed at protecting the human rights of semiconductor workers, held a press conference in front of the National Assembly today (16th) and argued that the 52-hour workweek should be kept for the safety and quality of life of workers.

The group criticized the Special Act on Semiconductors as an irresponsible bill that passes the responsibility for the sluggish semiconductor business to workers.

In addition, he urged the Democratic Party of Korea to actively oppose the bill, saying it was on the verge of passing the bill by showing an ambiguous attitude under the excuse of pressure from the ruling party and the business community.
