One in five civil servants has experienced a 'day to serve a caretaker' in the past year, the report showed.

The day of serving executives has been considered a wrong practice that should disappear from the public office, as employees choose their turn and serve meals to executives.

According to a joint survey of 154,000 public officials conducted by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Ministry of Personnel Management in November last year, 18.1% of respondents said they had experienced a day to serve executives within the past year, especially 23.9% of local government officials.

In terms of frequency, 41.5% were made up of once or twice a week, and 40% were made up of once or twice a month, and the head of the department was the most frequently served position with 57%.

In addition, 91% of the respondents said they did not need a day to serve executives, but 37.8% said "because it is a practice" as a reason for the practice to continue, followed by "because executives are the subject of evaluation."

Based on the results of this survey, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security plans to find ways to eradicate the day of serving executives and conduct a survey again after the guidance period.
