The president of Yoon Suk Yeol asked the Constitutional Court to change the date of the second impeachment hearing yesterday, when he was arrested by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

However, today's defense is proceeding as scheduled as the Constitutional Court has decided not to accept the application after discussion.

Today's defense will be conducted by the National Assembly stating the summary of the prosecution and President Yoon's opinion on this.

First, the National Assembly explained the reasons for the prosecution with issues such as declaring emergency rules, blocking and breaking into the National Assembly, breaking into the Central Election Commission, declaring a decree, and ordering judges to be arrested and detained.

President Yoon claimed that he violated the Constitution by declaring martial law that did not meet the requirements at all, saying that it is an "emergency martial law" to allow concentration of power similar to dictatorship in an emergency.
