Former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who led the emergency martial law, and military commanders were adopted as witnesses for the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol by the Constitutional Court.

Moon Hyung-bae, acting chief justice of the Constitutional Court, said in the second hearing today that Kim, former deputy chief of the National Intelligence Service Hong Jang-won, National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho, Army Special Warfare Commander Kwak Jong-geun, Army Capital Defense Commander Lee Jin-woo, and Yeo In-hyeong, the head of the National Defense Agency, were chosen as witnesses.

The Constitutional Court also decided to hold the 6th to 8th hearings all day from 10 a.m. on the 6th, 11th, and 13th of next month by designating an additional hearing date.

It is a trial schedule twice a week as before, and President Yoon complained that the pleading schedule was too much, but acting Moon said he had been fully discussed at the court and would not change it.
