Yoon Suk Yeol's president claimed an "illegal arrest" and requested an arrest suit, but it was rejected by the court.

As a result, President Yoon will continue to be arrested and investigated by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

Judge So Jun-seop of the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Chamber 32 dismissed President Yoon's claim at around 11 p.m. after conducting an arrest investigation from 5 p.m. yesterday (16th).Judge

said, "This case is dismissed under Article 214-2 (4) of the Criminal Procedure Act because it is recognized as unprovoked."

The provisions include the court interrogating the suspect, investigating the investigation-related documents and evidence, and dismissing them by decision if the claim is deemed unprovoked.

The court did not accept all of President Yoon's claims on issues such as the controversy over the investigation rights of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the jurisdiction of the Seoul Western District Court.

The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit plans to seek an arrest warrant as early as today (17th) after attempting to investigate President Yoon further.
