Kim Leah, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial for killing her lover and seriously injuring the victim's mother, claimed that it was not a premeditated crime in the second trial.

At the first hearing of the appeal trial held at the Suwon High Court, Kim's lawyer said there was a misunderstanding in the judgment of the first trial court that it was a premeditated crime.

He also expressed his opinion on applying for a fingerprint test for the weapon used as a tool for the crime, and Kim explained that he did not hold the weapon first, but he stopped the victim's mother from holding the weapon and led to the crime.

Kim was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial in March last year on charges of wielding a weapon to kill his girlfriend, who notified him of the breakup, and seriously injuring his girlfriend's mother for more than 10 weeks.
