Police launched an investigation into a fire at the Democratic Party of Korea headquarters in the early morning of the 15th, ahead of the execution of the second arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.

According to a Yonhap News report on the 17th, a fire broke out at around 0:11 a.m. on the 15th in a vacant lot next to the Democratic Party's central headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and was completely extinguished in 15 minutes. There was no damage other than some soot on the outer walls of our company.

Police are conducting an investigation (internal investigation) before the bookings, including analyzing closed-circuit (CC) TV at the scene.

After President Yoon was arrested on the 15th, a man in his 50s who attempted to set himself on fire near the high-ranking government official's Criminal Investigation Office in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, was reportedly on the list of suspected arsonists.

In a police investigation, Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, reportedly made the statement to the effect that he was angry about trying to arrest the incumbent president without arresting him.
