The prosecution rejected a police arrest warrant for Kim Sung-hoon, deputy chief of the Presidential Security Service, who is accused of interfering with the arrest of Yoon Suk Yeol's president.

The special investigation team of the National Investigation Headquarters of the police said today (19th) that the prosecution has not requested an arrest warrant for Deputy Chief Kim.

Deputy Director Kim was released as soon as the arrest warrant was returned.

A police official explained that the comprehensive consideration seems to be that the arrest warrant for President Yoon has already been executed and that Deputy Chief Kim voluntarily attended, although the arrest warrant was issued.

The police will review the reason for the return and decide whether to reapply for an arrest warrant.
