◆ Announcer Park Gui-bin (hereinafter referred to as Park Gui-bin): Living white paper, today we are going to Seoul City. The Lunar New Year holiday is a week away. This Lunar New Year is likely to be a longer holiday than ever, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government has prepared a comprehensive plan for the Lunar New Year during the Lunar New Year holiday, putting the safety of citizens and people's livelihoods first. For more information, I will talk to Yoo Kyung-wook, head of the planning management team in charge of planning in Seoul. Hello, team leader.
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook, head of the planning and management team in charge of planning in Seoul (hereinafter, Yoo Kyung-wook): Yes, hello.
◆ Park Gui-bin: Please introduce what measures the Seoul Metropolitan Government is preparing for this year's Lunar New Year holiday.
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook: Yes, many citizens are expected to move this year for the long holiday due to the designation of a temporary holiday, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government has prepared a comprehensive plan to help Seoul citizens, their hometowns, and visitors spend the Lunar New Year safely and warmly. In particular, January 24 (Fri) to secure the health and safety of citizens as well as to focus on measures and support that citizens can feel.By February 3rd (Monday), we plan to take care of 16 tasks in four areas: 'Citizen Safety', 'People's Livelihood Stability', 'Transportation Measures', and 'Living Environment'.
◆ Park Gui-bin: You may have prepared a number of measures. What do you care about the most?
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook: The field of civic health and safety will be the most important. Recently, the number of patients with respiratory diseases is increasing. There are many hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies that are closed during the long holidays, so many people will be worried. The Seoul Metropolitan Government will operate a total of 70 emergency medical institutions (49 places) and emergency room operating hospitals (21 places) 24 hours a day as usual to maintain a tight emergency medical system during the Lunar New Year holiday. As emergency medical institutions, 31 regional and regional emergency medical centers, including Seoul National University Hospital, and 18 regional emergency medical institutions, including Seoul Sacred Heart Hospital, will open, and 21 hospitals operating emergency rooms other than emergency medical institutions will operate, up three from last year's Lunar New Year. In addition, eight "Our Children's Safe Hospital" and three "Our Children's Specialized Emergency Centers" are also open 24 hours a day to quickly respond to emergency pediatric patients. In addition, more than 13,000 hospitals and pharmacies are open, with an average of 1,700 per day, about 300 more than the previous Lunar New Year.
◆ Park Gui-bin: Team leader, where can I find information on hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies?
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook: Yes, emergency rooms, hospitals, and pharmacies operated during the holidays can be found on the Seoul Metropolitan Government's "New Year's holiday comprehensive information (www.seoul.go.kr/story/newyearsday)' website and emergency medical portal (www.e-gen.or.kr )" and on the website of 25 autonomous districts. In addition, you can call the 120 Dasan Call Center, 119 (Emergency Situation Management Center), or check the "Emergency Medical Information Provision (e-gen)" app.
◆ Park Gui-bin: Are you preparing for winter safety accidents or disasters?
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook: Yes, that's right. The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to operate a 24-hour disaster safety situation room to quickly respond to various disasters that may occur during the Lunar New Year's Comprehensive Measures and secure citizens' safety. The Disaster Safety Situation Room manages natural disasters such as heavy snow, cold waves, earthquakes, and various disasters such as fire and traffic accidents, as well as the establishment of a disaster situation propagation and response system. The inspection of gas leaks and safety devices was completed on the 17th for gas supply facilities (1,101) and multi-use facilities (687 places) that are already likely to cause fires in winter, and 25 fire departments plan to complete on-site inspections of fire safety at 1,000 major facilities such as airports, bus terminals, and neighborhood living facilities by the 24th (Friday) of this month. In particular, we will set up a comprehensive situation room on the first floor of Seoul City Hall from the 24th to the 31st when the full-fledged Lunar New Year holiday begins and respond quickly to emergencies occurring during the holiday season.
◆ Park Gui-bin: As much as safety, I think it's price stability and people's livelihood.
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook: That's right. To revitalize the sluggish local economy, the Seoul Metropolitan Government first issued 370 billion won worth of Seoul Love Gift Certificates at a 5% discount, more than 3.5 times higher than last year's Lunar New Year, and also holds a refund event to return up to 30% to Onnuri Gift Certificates when purchasing domestic agricultural and fishery products in traditional markets. In addition, through the Price Countermeasures General Situation Room, we will prepare price management measures by grasping the price trend of holy water products, and conduct special inspections to prevent subcontracting construction costs and overdue wages of companies contracted with Seoul Metropolitan Government, such as construction and services.
◆ Park Gui-bin: The movement will begin in earnest this Friday, so how will you be preparing for transportation measures?
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook: Yes, this year's long holiday is expected to increase local travel, homecoming, and returning more than usual. For the convenience of citizens who use bus transportation during the Lunar New Year holiday, the express and intercity buses from Seoul will be operated 20% more than usual for 11 days from this Friday, the 24th to the 3rd of next month. It also extends the last train hours of Seoul's subway and city buses on Lunar New Year's Day and the next day when returning visitors are expected to concentrate. Information related to the extension of the last train time can be found in the subway station, the notice attached to the bus stop, the Seoul Transportation Corporation website, and the TOTA app. In addition, public transportation information, such as detailed holiday traffic measures, major road accidents, and real-time traffic information, can be found through the Seoul Transportation Information Center's Topis website (http://topis.seoul.go.kr ), the Seoul Transportation Portal app, and the 120 Dasan Call Center.
◆ Park Gwi-bin: Please wrap it up.
◇ Yoo Kyung-wook: Sadly, there are many neighbors in need around us who feel alienated as the holidays approach. The Seoul Metropolitan Government will provide free meals to low-income seniors and children who are concerned about skipping meals during the holiday season, and will take care of our neighbors' warm daily lives by conducting the "New Year's Day Citizen Food Sharing Campaign." In addition, we plan to do our best to stabilize people's livelihoods accompanying the weak by checking the safety of the elderly in need of care and citizens at risk of social isolation. I hope that citizens will also have a warm and warm Lunar New Year holiday with small interest and affection, and detailed living information related to the Lunar New Year can be found on the "2025 Lunar New Year Holiday Comprehensive Information" website (https://www.seoul.go.kr/story/newyearsday/), , Seoul, Seoul SNS (Instagram, YouTube, etc.). The Seoul Metropolitan Government will try to make citizens happy and comfortable during the holiday season. Citizens, I wish you a happy new year.
